Materials science in Canada is taking their destiny in their own hands. Come hear from Neil Branda, a Canada Research Chair, about: what he and his team are doing in materials science in general for Canada, how they are shaping the researchers of tomorrow in materials science, as well as what projects they are working on, including Project Prometheus, which focuses on solar industry related materials/devices, miniaturized biosensors, and spintronics/magnetic devices.
